Rules
 
 

The rules below are the 2009 rules with the changes made that we no about at this time so there maybe more changes still to be made.

 

these will be updated as soon as we are told.

 

Entry fees

 

      online entry payment £8.00

      pay on the day £10.00

 

 

Classes

The following classes will be raced at each round.

 

  • Stock - Any commercially available 17.5BL or 27T Brushed Motors allowed. 6-cell NiMh or 7.4v LiPo Pack.
  • Super Stock - Any commercially available 13.5BL or 27T Brushed Motors allowed. 6-cell NiMh or 7.4v LiPo Pack
  • Pro Stock - BRCA Approved 10.5BL or Any commercially available 19T Brushed Motors allowed.

 

Cells

Any 6-cell packs, Sub-C sized 1.2v NiMh or NiCD Cells allowed.

 

LiPo Packs

Only LiPo packs current on the BRCA Approved List can be used.

LiPo packs must only be charged by proper LiPo chargers, no other chargers must EVER be used to charge these packs.

Packs must never be charged above 7.4 volts

Only Hard Cased LiPo packs allowed. All BRCA guidelines regarding LiPo packs will apply.

 

Tyres

Only the following slick tyres can be used in the SLCC Championship,

 

 

  • sweep 32 pre glued on yellow rims.

 

Only 2 sets of tyres are allowed to be used per meeting. Sets used will be scrutineered and marked after each round.

The manufacturer pre-glues all tyres/wheels.

No alterations to the pre-glued wheels, tyres or inserts are permitted.

Strictly no 'Wintergreen' tyre additive allowed.

 

Wet Tyres

The following Wet tyres can only be used in the SLCC Championship,

 

  • BRCA approved

 

 

 

Bodyshells

Any Touring Car style bodyshell is permitted. As guidance only, please refer to the BRCA Touring Car Bodyshell list for 2009. Rules

that may be scrutineered will be bodyshell height and rear wing dimensions, including minimum car weight. The level of scrutineering

applied is the responsibility of the hosting club.

 

Racing

There will be 3 rounds of qualifying and 2 finals format.

All cars will be scrutineered after the first qualifier, with only improved qualifying times scrutineered after that.

All competitors first set of tyres will be marked after the first round whilst being scrutineered.

Bad driving as deemed by the Race Director will result in a time penalty being awarded. This will include corner cutting where a

 competitor gains an advantage, jump starts in the finals or any manoevre deemed unfair or which inhibits another competitor.

All competitors must have BRCA membership for 2009.

Trophies are awarded to the Top 3 in each Final.

 

Refunds 

No Refunds will be made for cancelled entries

If you are unable to attend a meeting, please inform the SLCC organisors before the Saturday of a scheduled meeting.

If a round of the SLCC is cancelled by the organisors, entry fee's will be refunded.

If a round of the SLCC is re-scheduled, then entry fee's will be refunded if you can't attend the new proposed date.

 

Driver Conduct

Any driver found using abusive language or behaving abusively will be expelled from the meeting and may be subject to further

restrictions on admittance to other SLCC events. Drivers are expected to be ambassadors for the sport, and should act accordingly at all times.

By entering a meeting you agree that any photographs taken at a meeting that may include one of yourself, can be used for

reports and promotional purposes by the SLCC.
